銅管、鋼管和尼龍管屬于硬管，用于連接相對位置不變的固定元件。鋼管能承受高壓，價格便宜，耐油、抗腐蝕和剛性都較好。但裝配中不能任意彎曲，常用于裝配方便的壓力管道處。紫鋼管彎曲比較方便，由于剛度小在裝配時還可有小量變形，故便于裝配。
但承壓能力低（一般不超過65X10，~10X10Pa），價格也貴，抗展能力弱又易使油液氧化，應盡量少用。黃銅管承壓能力較高（達250X10Pa），但彎曲較難。尼龍管的耐壓能力可達25X10~80X10Pa。在油中加熱到160一1700就能隨意彎曲，實際生產中多用來作回油管。
橡膠管、塑料軟管常用于兩個相對運動元件之間的連接。橡膠管分高壓和低壓兩種。高壓橡膠管是在橡膠管中間加一層或幾層編織鋼絲而成，其承壓能力可達420X105Pa。低壓橡膠管則以編織棉、麻線代替編織鋼絲，多用于低壓回油管道。

The tubing used in the system of single-column hydraulic press includes steel pipe, copper pipe, nylon pipe, rubber hose and plastic pipe. They should be selected according to the relative position of connecting elements, using environment and working pressure.
Copper pipes, steel pipes and nylon pipes belong to hard pipes, which are used to connect fixed elements with constant relative positions. Steel pipe can withstand high pressure, low price, good oil resistance, corrosion resistance and rigidity. But it can not bend arbitrarily in assembly. It is often used in pressure pipes where assembly is convenient. Purple steel tube bending is more convenient, because the stiffness is small in the assembly can also have a small amount of deformation, so it is easy to assemble.
However, the pressure bearing capacity is low (generally not more than 65X10, ~10X10Pa), the price is also expensive, the anti-stretch ability is weak and easy to oxidize the oil, should be used as little as possible.
